Shwetha Sanapoori’s Debut (Rangapravesam)
Shwetha Sanapoori, who has been learning Bharatanatyam under the tutelage of renowned Guru M Subhashini Vijay Santhanam, gave her debut performance at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan on Saturday. Starting with a ‘Pushpanjali’, she progressed onto to perform a Allaripu, a Shabdam, a bhakti themed Varnam, Keertanam and a Thillana. Her performance was a joy to watch for the audience. The young dancer received blessings and accolades from many artists and connoisseurs of the art form.
Enchanting… Shwetha’s dance
Kumari Shwetha Sanapoori’s dance performance enchanted connoisseurs of the art. A disciple of Guru M Subhashini Vijay Santhanam, she performed her arangetram at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan on Saturday. With refined ‘Bhava Prakatana’, her dance items were a joy to watch. Shwetha’s wonderful performance received praise from eminent Gurus like Pasumurti Venkateshwara Sastri, Prof. Dr. Goud, Vimal Charashekar et al.
Shwetha Sanapoori charms the audience with her Bharatanatyam arangetram
Renowned Guru M Subhashini Vijay Santhanam‘s disciple Shwetha Sanapoori entertained her audience with her beautiful performance at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan on Saturday. She started the performance with an item invoking Ganesha in Gambheera Nata ragam. In the next item Allaripu, she showcased head, neck and eye movements. It was followed by a Shabdam in Ragamalika, themed on Sri Krishna playing his flute to entice the Gopikas. The Thillana was in Raga Dhanyasi, composed by Sri Swati Thirunal. She performed a padam, “Chaalu Chaalu Nee Yuktulu…”, in Saveri ragam, mishra chaapu taalam with great skill. In this item, she beautifully portrayed a Gopika in moods of a love, anger and playfulness. She continued onto perform a keertanam in raga Khamas, Adi talam, composed by Papanasinam Sivan with the same dexterity. The Nattuvangam was executed by Guru Subhashini and the vocals were rendered by Nila Ramanujam.
