Krishna Leela (2011)
by on June 2, 2011 in FWA School FWN Shows Performances

From Within Nucleus(FWN) presented junior students of From Within Academy (FWA) in a mythological dance recital. Krishna Leela recounted events from Lord Krishna’s early life using the medium of Bharatanatyam. The event was performed at MOHAI, on May 21, 2011.

Krishna Leela was  sold out and the biggest hit so far this year. The production, Krishna Leela, depicted specific incidents from Lord Krishna’s life: his mischievous childhood, his love for butter, taming of the poisonous serpent (Kaliya), lifting of Govaradhana giri, playing pranks and mesmerizing the gopis with music from his flute, a powerful protector of the weak, destroyer of pain and sin, and a personification of love, joy, and peace!

The tales of Lord Krishna have delighted audiences young and old for generations. The audience were awed by the dazzling classical performance with hand gestures, nimble movements and facial expressions that came together in harmony to narrate the story. FWN would like to congratulate all the participants and teachers of FWA who put in many hours of hard work to present this show.
